We've been to the seaside.

We love going in the car for 2 reasons. First, we enjoy being in the car, Second, we enjoy going new places.
Last week Mum said we were going to the seaside. We didn't know what she meant but we trusted her when she said we would like it.
We were in the car for a long time but finally Dad stopped the car and we jumped out of the car. It was very soft under our paws and felt squidgey. Mum said it was sand. They had found a huge beach where we were allowed to run about without our leads on. There was lots of other doggies also running around with out their leads on.
Brandy and me kept running a long way away from Mum and Dad, and then we ran all the way back to them. Then, we ran away again.
The sand was really nice to run on, and we could explore little rock pools as the tide was out.
After a while , when we were tired out, we went back in the car and Dad took us into Cleethorpes to look at the pier
and to see the Donkey's on the beach.
There were some kids having rides along the beach on the donkeys, but we weren't allowed to. We just sat outside a cafe and had a sausage while Mum & Dad had a coffee. It was nice sat there watching everyone walking past, but then this little dog got a bit too close and I thought he was after my sausage so I chased him away. But I forgot I had my lead on and it went round the table leg and pulled the table over, and Mum's coffee went all over Mum.
Oooops!
Still, that doggy didn't get my sausage!

Ha Ha Ha! Brandy's been Scalped!

Mum always keeps our coats short and while I hate having it done, it is better than having to go through a daily combing when our hair is long.

So, every few weeks she gets the clippers out and we have to endure half an hour of sheep shearing.

Yesterday it was time for the clippers again. I'm not sure why I was done first but I am SOOOOO glad I was.

After she had done me she cleaned the clippers as normal and then got our Brandy on the table. I heared the trimmers start buzzing and then I heard Mum scream and shout Dad.

I ran in too but I couldn't see what all the fuss was about 'cos our Brandy was up on the table and I was on the floor.

After a while Dad took me back into the room and Mum carried on doing our Brandy. Everything seemed normal.

Until our Brandy was finished and came into the room, looking really cross.

Normally Mum uses a guard on the clippers that leaves our fur about a No. 5 length, but she'd forgotten to put the guard back on when she cleaned it after she had done me and so instead, our Brandy had a No. 1 on his head.

He isn't best pleased.

There and back again .....A pups tale!

Me and our Brandy are used to having our photo taken but sometimes the place we have them taken change a lot. This one was taken here:

This is our new back garden. The last few weeks have been very strange for us but we've been with Mum and Dad all the time so we know that everything is OK.

It all started a few weeks ago when Mum left us alone with Dad for ages. She was gone so long we didn't think she was coming back, even though Dad kept saying she would.

Then, when she did come back, we were back into boxes appearing everywhere. Been here before so we knew what was going on. One morning a big van came and they put all the boxes into the van. Then Mum told us to go and say goodbye to the Meerkats and Big Dog so we took them all a biscuit from the cupboard and said goodbye.

We all got in the car and Mum and Dad have made it really nice for me and our Brandy on the back seat. We had loads of room and a nice furry blanket to sit on.

Mum said we were going on a long journey, like a holiday, and we would be stopping in hotels at night so we had to be good and not bark too much.

Me & our Brandy like staying in hotels. We get sausages for breakfast and lots of people make a fuss of us.

One night Dad drove the car into a big metal box and we stayed in there for a while and then we drove off again. When we got to the hotel that night suddenly we could understand what people were saying to us. Mum says it's because we were back in England where we come from.

Now we live in a new house that has a garden that we can't get out of but Mum takes is on lovely long walks.

They're nicer walks then before 'cos there aren't all those horrible spikey seed things that got stuck in our fur and had to be tugged out so they didn't get into our skin and make us poorly. We don't have snakes and big centipedes and scorpions to worry about either, all we see is big garden gnomes sitting ever so still with fishing rods and other dogs who are usually really friendly.

It's colder here as well so me and our Brandy can run about and not get really hot and have to lay down all day. mum says it snows here the same as in Spain but not as much so we will still be able to walk.

We have loads of room to play
and we're happy anywhere as long as we're with Mum and Dad.

And as long as we're together!

Entry posted on the wrong blog.

It may not be a surprise to you that it's Mum & Dad that are going to Almería for their residency cards tomorrow, not us but at least by Mum posting it on here I know about it now and can tell our Brandy that we're going to be Home Alone tomorrow.

Lot's of doggy chocs needed I think!!!!!

Push, push, push? For goodness' sake Mum, I AM pushing!

We have a pretty routine life. We have lots of walks, lots of play time, trips in the car and lots and lots of sleeps.

We couldn't ask for a better life.

But, you just know it can't go one for ever without something happening to make life difficult.

And it did.

We had some men at the house and they put this cage thing up at the front of the house. Now normally, Mum opens the door for us and we can run out and bark at everything, but after the men had been we could only get as far as the cage. There is a door in the cage that Mum and Dad go through but they wouldn't let us through it.

Instead, there was this flappy thing at the side and we were supposed to go through that.

Now there was a number of problems me and our Brandy could find with this idea.

Firstly, if we hit the flappy thing with our paw it swung open but as we tried to put our heads through it, it swung back and hit us in the face!

Secondly, if we pushed our noses against it - nothing happened other than we got squashed noses.

So Mum had to open it for us so we could get out, and had to bend down to do this so we couldn't see why we couldn't just go through the big door with her.

Anyway, it seems it was important to her because she kept asking us to use it and when we didn't she would open it for us and then give us choccy buttons when we went through. Now, it didn't take long for our Brandy to tell me that the longer we didn't go through on our own the more choccy buttons we would get. This was OK for a while BUT sometimes Mum would leave us inside the cage and walk off and I wanted to go with her to make sure she wasn't giving our buttons to the Meercats instead of us.

But as much as I tried I just couldn't open the door on my own. If Mum opened it just a tiny weeny bit I could do it, but I didn't like pushing too hard with my nose 'cos it hurt (turns out I've got bits of dermatitis near my nose and they've got infected so I have to have some horrible red gel on them every morning).

Anyway, Mum must have realised I was trying really hard and not getting it to happen 'cos she asked Dad to do something to it and he said he took out a magnetty thingy that was really strong. Now, it opens really easy and I can do it everytime.

Once I did it our Brandy just had to copy me. He couldn't let me be good at something and not him. I always get out first and leave the flappy thing flapping in his face but now he knows to wait for it to swing back before putting his head through.

Now we can make sure that Mum doesn't give the Meercats any of our buttons.

This is steeper than it looks!

Mum is always telling us to be careful when we are out as some of the slopes are very steep and also have lots of loose rocks on them, but the other day I was out with our Brandy and we'd gone up to the Pine Trees (where there are NO caterpillars). Then we saw a rabbit running down the hill into the Rambla so we decided to chase after it and our Brandy headed straight down the banking. I followed but halfway down I realised it was actually a lot steeper than it looked. So I stopped. Then I realised it was too steep for me to go back up as well, so I was stuck, I didn't know what to do.

Fortunately Mum came out and saw me stuck there so she came and got me down.

I now have to do lines......

I must not follow our Brandy everywhere without looking first!

I must not follow our Brandy everywhere without looking first!

I must not.........

Who says I've not got balls!

My mum told me that I'd had 'the operation' when I was little but I think you'll have to agree, I certainly have lots of balls!

It might look painful, and it can get difficult to walk after a while but mum uses the hairdryer to melt them away!

So, who's this then?

Once again, we've had lots of snow, but this time we know how to deal with it, it's not a surprise anymore. We went for a really long walk yesterday and I got really tired, so I was glad the Mum & Dad went out last night and I could sleep all night infront of the telly. Mum left Dancing on Ice on for us, as if me & our Brandy would be interested, I ask you, what is she like? (Wasn't Hayley brilliant?!)
Anyway, we had a new friend arrive on Saturday. Mum told us he wouldn't be here very long and we should be nice to him, but I think our Brandy to her too literally getting THAT close!
So, we had a nice photo together and it's a good job we did!

When I went out this morning he'd lost his head and now he's not much more than a blob....

...and he never even said goodbye!

We must be getting stronger.

When we lived near the sea-side, we had a lot of problems with our legs. Sometimes it was really painful and we had to go to the vets for tablets. Mum said it was because we pulled too hard on our leads when we were out and this caused strain on our ligaments. Ok Mum, whatever!

Since we moved here, both me & our Brandy have been a lot better. If we go on really long walks, like at the weekend when we went all the way to the ruin on the hill, we find our legs get a bit stiff once we've slept for a while, and believe me, we slept for a long while on Sunday, we were shattered!

When I asked Mum why our legs don't hurt like they did before she said it's because we are outside, playing all the time, running up and down the hills and that we are getting a lot stronger then we were but also, we don't need our leads on here, so we aren't pulling, so we don't strain our ligaments..........

OK, so Mum's right again. Mum's ALWAYS right!

Oh, the Shame!

Yesterday, some of Mum & Dad's friends came for dinner and they are really nice. They have dogs of their own so they are dog people and they know how to talk to us and make us feel important. While they were having dinner, me and our Brandy were chilling out on the settee and after they had finished Sandra, Mum's friend, went over to stroke our Brandy. He was so chilled he rolled onto his back so she could tickle his tummy...........

....and then it happened..............

.............oh, the shame...............

No, he didn't pee on her, don't be daft!

She saw something move!

He'd only gone and got himself some fleas for company, hadn't he?

Well, that was it. We were turned upside down, more flea spot on us necks, even though it's not that long since we were done, we had all our bits powdered with this awful smelling powder and then.....

......when Jim and Sandra had gone, Mum really got to work ....

..... with that really fine, sharp, scratchy comb thing.

Everywhere!

And, to add insult to injury......

............she's only gone and done us again today!

The shame of it - I bet you any money, we get done again tomorrow, again!

Brandy - how could you!

Who says we're spoilt!

Every now and again Mum & Dad get us a little treat. We love the biscuits from Mercadona which we usually have but it's nice to have something different.

We always have a big bag of (doggy) chocolate buttons in the fridge and now, we have white buttons as well as brown ones - the white ones are yummy!

Well, this week Mum & Dad have found something we really, really, REALLY like!

SAUSAGES!

They come in a little tin specially for little dogs like us. They're super-scrummy.

We just haven't worked out what we have to do to get one.

If we come in when we are called, we get a cuddle.

If we are being left at home for a while we get a treat.

If we go to bed when we should we get a biscuit.
If we come in for our breakfast we get bacon bits.

But we can't work out what we have to do for a sausage. We know they are in the fridge so I have tried sitting down next to the fridge - but that didn't work.

I've tried coming in before I'm called - but that didn't work.

I've tried fetching a toy - but that didn't work.

Just don't know what I have to do to get a saus......

Gotta go, don't know why - BUT THE SAUSAGES ARE OUT OF THE FRIDGE!!!!!!!

I'm on my way Mum!!
