This 'ot weather is tiring us out.

Most mornings, we get up early and go out for our walk with mummy before the sun is up and over the hill, that way it's not too hot for us and we can go for a long long walk. Sometimes we go and look at these pretty coloured houses that mummy says we're going to live in soon and other days we go on to the Camposol, which is some fields with lots of room and we get to have our leads off and we can explore loads of things.
Then, when the sun has nearly gone over the other hill at night, we go out again. The rest of the day we can play around the villa and we can chase each other and bark when the other dogs bark, and if those cats sit under our car, we can bark really really loudly, 'cos we can see them under the gate, but we can't get to them - and they know we can't which is why they sit there.
Anyway, today we did lots of running and it got really hot and when mummy said we had to come in we were going to have our dinner, but Brinkely couldn't stay awake long enough and fell asleep in his dinner bowl.
What's he like? You wouldn't catch me doing anything so daft!

Got me nosh, back on the floor!

Well, how was I supposed to know we were 'avin' ribs? There I was, sat at the table (see previous blog) all ready to be a grown up - and they tell me we're getting a spare rib.

Now, there's only one way to tackle a rib and it isn't sat at a table wiv a knife and fork, trust me.

It's on the floor - wiv yer paws!

Success!

Love Brinkley

It's posh here, isn't it?

So, where's me nosh then? We used to have it in a dish on the floor but now, I'm a grown up and so I sit up at the table like the other grown ups!

Can't handle a knife and fork yet though!

Love Brinkley.

Running wild & free.......

Well free anyway.

Mum and dad take us out every day with our leads on and we can't always get to sniff what we want to 'cos they make us walk past too quickly. I know there are these fast vehicles that could hurt us and other dogs that might not be very nice but I'm always wanting to get to things that are just a little bit further than my lead will let me.

Well, not today!

From the roof of our villa you can see all this spare land which is called the Campasol. And we've seen other dogs on there but not been able to find out how you get there. Well, today mum and dad showed us the way.

At the top of the estate there is a storm drain channel between to of the villas, and if you go up there mums and dads can squeeze under the fencing - we can easily get under 'cos it's about 3 foot up.

What we didn't know was how big it is up there, and, that we would have a leads taken off so we could run around anywhere.

I made sure that I went with our Brandy so I didn't miss anything he might find and it was really good. We kept going back when mum or dad called us, but the rest of the time we could just run around anywhere we wanted. It was brill!

Mum and dad just walked along the path for a while and then they called us and put our leads on again, and we had to go home.

I hope we can go again tomorrow!

He does my head in - but I wouldn't be without him!

Sometimes our Brandy does my head in and today he's been a real pain. We have lots of toys and mum says we have to share. Mum often plays throw and fetch with us and I'm faster at running then our Brandy so I always get there first but he has to be the one to take it back to mum, so he always steals it from me. If I don't let him have it straight away he growls at me until I do.

Well, today he went too far. I wanted to take the toy back to mum and as I can run fastest I thought I'd be able to get away from him BUT instead of trying to take the toy off me, he tried to stop me running by grabbing hold of my back leg with his teeth!

Now that's just plain cheating.

Mum told him off and he didn't do it again, but he's starting to use dirty tactics and I need to think of some for myself.

Still, at the end of the day, I just think he's jealous because I'm the fastest runner. It doesn't stop me letting him cuddle up to me but I'll be keeping an eye on him tomorrow!

Relaxing by the pool - by Brandy (aged 7 months)

We have our villa back, it's calm and quiet and we can relax by the pool without getting splashed.
Have you any idea how noisy you people can be when you mix sunshine with water, you're so manic.

We quite liked having Cadey here after we got used to her, she's quite good. She didn't splash us from the pool and she left plenty of leftovers for us, so we're happy for her to come back again - just not yet.

Anyway, I thought you might like to see me relaxing by the pool.
Love from Brandy (Oh, and Brinkley says 'Hi' as well)

Invasion of the relatives

Well, we've had 2 weeks of peace and quiet, we've had lovely walks and we've been able to sleep whenever we want, much like being at home ..... but with sunshine.

However, now all that has gone, it;s mayhem. We have to keep hiding 'cos they keep jumping into the pool and we get wet (which we seriously do not like)

Relatives have arrived!

We were warned that this would happen from time to time and to be honest we wouldn't mind because normally that would mean more treats, more cuddles and more walks ....but... Cadey is here. She's smaller, makes more noise (boy, can she make noise) and takes everyones attention away from us. However, she does drop more food than the grown ups so I suppose that is a plus, we just wait next to her at dinner time and hey presto, as if by magic, food from above!

Mum says she's only here for a few days and it's we should be nice to her and let her enjoy it...... but it will be nice to have mum back to ourselves.
